About the event leader
Tommy Bunny has been guiding forest bathing experiences with the Land Trust since 2018, drawing on decades of Zen practice and a deep connection to nature. A longtime vegan and advocate for natural living, he also nurtures a private forest with a special focus on American chestnut restoration. A retired Juno Award-winning music producer, he continues to create music and nature-inspired videos on his YouTube channel The Anechoic Chamber.
About Harlow Dune Nature Reserve
Harlow Dune Nature Reserve is dedicated to the memory of Joan and Bernard (Jim) Harlow who were founding members of Long Point Basin Land Trust.
This nature reserve contains an interesting combination of recently restored agricultural field, an ancient lakeshore dune with ingrown oak woodlands, a mixture of mature swamp and mature upland forest, as well as conifer plantation of various composition and age. The treed southern half of the property is identified as Significant Woodland.
